Coach K On Rose: 'He's Full Go'

(CBS) Kyrie Irving will start at point guard Tuesday night in Team USA's exhibition game against Slovenia, but Bulls star Derrick Rose is a "full go" for the FIBA World Cup that starts Saturday in Spain, coach Mike Krzyzewski told ESPN.com after Monday's practice.

Krzyzewski added he's considering alternating Irving and Rose as starters as the tournament goes along. Rose is still working his way back into top shape in his second comeback from a major knee injury in the past 28 months. Rest has been an ingredient to Rose's recovery as he sat out two practices and a game last week in New York.

It's possible Rose could sit out a game in group play as Team USA plays five games in six days, but for now, it's full steam ahead.

"I asked him today, and he said, 'I feel great,'" Krzyzewski said of Rose, according to ESPN.com. "He did everything. He's full go. I think there's a part of him that's like: 'Quit asking me how I feel. I'm good.' So I'm not going to ask him anymore."

Team USA opens play Saturday against Finland.
