City Will Hold Another Jackie Robinson West Watch Party Tonight

CHICAGO (AP) — The city of Chicago plans to host another watch party for fans of Jackie Robinson West, the team playing in the Little League World Series.

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says the city will host the watch party Thursday evening as the baseball team plays the Taney Little League squad from Pennsylvania, which lost Wednesday 8-1 to Mountain Ridge of Las Vegas. The mayor says the team's hard work and perseverance have inspired "every neighborhood across Chicago."

The watch party was scheduled to be held at Jackie Robinson Park, but because of the weather concerns it was moved to the Kroc Center at 1250 W. 119th St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:30 p.m. game.

The Little League World Series takes place in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
