Church Bus Driver Charged In Fatal Crash Near Indianapolis

(CBS) -- The driver of a Gary, Ind. church bus that overturned near Indianapolis, fatally injuring a 6-year-old boy, is now charged with reckless homicide.

Fifty-three-year old Charles Goodman, who is still in the hospital, also was charged with driving on a suspended license.

The bus was from the St. Jude Family Worship Center in Gary.

Prosecutors say it appears that driver error caused the crash. Indiana State Police also say Goodman was wanted on an arrest warrant for not appearing in court for a traffic offense.

The crash killed 6-year-old Jacob Williams of Gary and sent 11 other people to hospitals.
