Police say reports of abandoned toddler are unfounded
Chicago police say reports of an abandoned toddler on the West Side are unfounded.
Police initially reported a woman dropped off a toddler just before 7 p.m. near Van Buren Street and Kildare in West Garfield Park. The Chicago Police Department then confirmed the girl had been identified.
Later Tuesday morning, police said officers are now investigating this case as a false police report.
No further details have been released.
