Chicago's Frozen Tundra Captured By Stunning Drone Video

CHICAGO (CBS) -- As the camera moves slowly over the landscape, the images seem to be from another world.

Only a sweeping shot over a chilled Lake Michigan, framed by the skyline, gives the viewer a clue that this is actually Chicago.

Chicago in February, which can be so brutal that its residents may feel as if it's no longer possible to live here.

Brutal, yet stunning.

The montage opens with a landscape that looks almost lunar, not earthly. Later, the ice forms mosaic like shapes on the water.

The video was shot by Ross Feighery, using a DJI Inspire 1.
