Chicago's DuSable Museum Hosts Blood Drive

CHICAGO (CBS) --   There is a critical shortage of blood, so some elected leaders are rolling up their sleeves and donating.

And they're encouraging the public to give blood, too.

Donors at the blood drive held Friday morning at the DuSable Museum of African American history wore masks and had to stay six feet apart.

The Joint Caucus of Black Elected Officials hoped having the blood drive on September 11 would remind people of how the nation came together to help one another in a time of crisis.
