Chicago Weather: Temperatures Climb As Rain, Snow End

CHICAGO (CBS)-- After a snowy night, the winter storm has come to an end.

Temperatures continue to rise to the 40s Wednesday, and most are above freezing. Rain will continued through most of the morning and will wrap around 9 a.m.

Some leftover meltwater and slush may cause minor problems, mainly on untreated surfaces.

Slush, snow and ice on the ground should begin to melt and wash away from the rain.

Another wintry system is expected to arrive on New Years Day.
