Chicago Weather: Windy But Warmer Temps On The Way, Snow Possible For This Weekend

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Temperatures are on the rise for the Thursday morning rush and becoming windy throughout the day.

Winds will gust out of the south carrying low level moisture into our area as well as mild air. After Wednesday's temps in the 20s, Thursday will be around 50 in parts of the Chicago area.

A moisture surge will increase the flood threat Friday and Friday night. This will be especially true for areas south of the Stevenson into Northwest Indiana.

It all depends on the storm track.

Tonight: Temps rise to about 28 by daybreak.

Thursday: Warmer and windy with rain by midday. 48.

Friday: Rain and 44.

Friday Night: Rain south, sleet, freezing rain, changeover to snow to the NNW. 35
