Gusty winds off the lake will create dangerous rip currents and high waves for the opening day of Chicago's beaches Friday. A beach hazards statement is up through Saturday.

It will be windy and wet for Friday – we are only hoping to hit 50 degrees. But many areas will hold in the 40s all day.

A dry pattern develops Saturday. But even with sunny conditions, there will still be hazardous swimming conditions due to the high wave action and rip current risk.

The high for Saturday is 63, Sunday 70. On Memorial Day, it turns cloudy with a high of 73.
