CHICAGO (CBS)-- Temperatures are headed up.

After a chilly morning in the 40s, temperatures zoom into the upper 60s with gusty south breezes.

By Thursday, temperatures soar to the mid 70s.

The warmup is brief as a bitter change arrives by the weekend.
