Chicago Weather: Snow Returns

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Light snow overspread into the Chicago area Sunday evening.

The snow was falling again by 7 p.m., with totals the highest in the northern suburbs.

Lindenhurst saw 1.9 inches of new snow, Northbrook 1.1 inches, Roselle and Rockford 1 inch, O'Hare International Airport 0.7 inch, Romeoville 0.5 inch, and Midway International Airport 0.2 inch, CBS 2 Meteorologist Tim McGill reported.

By 11 p.m. in East Lakeview, the snow had turned to light rain.

It will also be a bit blustery Sunday night with gusts of up to 30 mph, and lows in the upper 20s.

We've warmed about freezing Sunday – the warmest we've been in over two weeks. On Monday, it will be mostly cloudy and milder with highs in the middle to upper 30s.

We could flirt with 40 by Tuesday, which will be the warmest day of the week.
