Chicago Weather: Active Pattern Takes Shape

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Light shower chances begin after 2 a.m., mainly north of I-88, as a cold front moves into our area.

Steadier rain is in store for Wisconsin.

Warm southerly winds ahead of the front brought temps near 60 on Wednesday. Once the front crosses northern Illinois mid-morning, winds will shift and become northeasterly. That's a chilly wind flow off the 40-degree lake.

Next wave of rain will arrive by afternoon, with showers likely by dinner time and into the evening. Friday will be chilly with passing showers.
