Chicago Weather: Rain Chances On The Rise

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Temperatures remained very warm until early Sunday evening, when they crashed along the lakefront as clouds and rain moved in.

Along the immediate lakefront, the temperatures dropped thanks to the lake breeze. CBS 2 Meteorologist Ed Curran reported that at 7 p.m., it was 81 degrees in Joliet, but only 53 degrees in Waukegan.

Some patchy fog will be possible, and isolated showers will still be possible through the evening and overnight.

Lows will be in the upper 50s and low 60s overnight Sunday into Monday.

On Monday, it will be mostly cloudy with isolated storms and a high of 85.

It will be slightly cooler by the end of the week. Rain chances ramp up for Thursday and Friday.
