Chicago Weather: Some Snowy Days To Come Starting Late Wednesday

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A wintry system brings snow to our forecast from Wednesday evening through early Friday morning.

While amounts and rates are still expected to be light, the system has slowed a bit, leaving snow in the forecast through early Friday morning.

On Tuesday night, look for isolated lake effect snow showers and a low of 24.

On Wednesday, expect clouds most of the day. Snow showers arrive after sunset.

Light snow continues overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Some minor accumulation of an inch or two is possible by Thursday morning.

Snow showers persist most of the day on Thursday. Additional accumulation of an inch or two is possible.

A storm total of 1 to 3 inches is still likely for most. Higher amounts are expected south and east of the city.
