CHICAGO (CBS) -- High pressure keeps us dry for a while with cooler temperatures this week.

The low for Monday night is 67 under clear skies. The high for Tuesday is 82 with partly cloudy conditions, and for Wednesday 79 with sunny conditions.

By midweek, north/northeast winds will generate high waves and make for dangerous swimming conditions.

A Beach Hazards Statement is valid from Tuesday evening through Thursday morning – with a high risk for rip currents.

So even with the warm sun on Wednesday, it's not a good idea to swim due to the high waves.
