Chicago Weather: Downpours And Storms To The South; Flash Flood Warning For Parts Of LaSalle, Grundy Counties

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Torrential rains lingered over our the far southwestern part of the greater Chicago area Monday night.

A Flash Flood Warning has been called until 1:30 a.m. along the LaSalle/Grundy County line border due to a stalled cell. Localized flooding is likely in that area.

Otherwise, scattered storms have held together Monday evening.

The low for Monday night is 67.

It will be murky on Tuesday morning as our upper-level system drags overhead. Patchy drizzle and fog likely, with a few scattered showers to start the day.

There is a thunder chance by early afternoon. But once the low-pressure system departs, winds become west/northwest by later in the afternoon, pulling in drier air.
