Chicago Weather: Cold Front To Make Friday Chilly

CHICAGO (CBS) -- We spend Friday on the chilly side of the cold front with highs in the upper 30s instead of the upper 40s that we had on Thursday.

Extra clouds may linger throughout the day. Light snow arrives late Friday night into Saturday morning.

It will be a fast moving-system without a lot of moisture to work with, so CBS 2 Meteorologist Mary Kay Kleist expects minor amounts of snow – with most areas receiving less than one inch.

The Climate Prediction Center's 6- to 10-day outlook is trending warmer than normal for our area. This outlook reaches into the time of year that we typically are the coldest.
