Chicago Weather: 20 Degrees Colder On Wednesday

CHICAGO (CBS) -- After a few showers before midnight Tuesday night, it will be chilly and bright Wednesday the morning with temperatures in the mid-30s.

A stiff northwest wind will continue to pull a much colder air mass overhead.

Highs will only make it into the middle 40s instead of the middle 60s like we had Tuesday and Wednesday.

The heart of the cold air mass will be overhead Thursday. Many areas will hold in the 30s all day, but a strong, north wind will generate a few lake effect snow showers for northwest Indiana.
