Chicago Police Officer Accidentally Shoots Self
(CBS) – A Chicago Police officer was injured Friday evening from an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said.
The unidentified officer was conducting an investigation in the 5700 block of South Peoria around 6:30 p.m. when he accidentally discharged his weapon. He was struck in leg, according to Chicago Police News Affairs.
The officer was transported to Christ Medical Center in good condition.
