Chicago Police Arrest Suspect In Attack On Female Jogger

(CBS) – Police say they have arrested a suspect following an attack on a female jogger last weekend in the River North neighborhood.

The woman was running in the 200 block of West Kinzie Street around 5:50 a.m. Saturday, near the Merchandise Mart, when she was attacked. A male suspect grabbed the woman, choked her and threw her to the ground, before he was interrupted by witnesses.

Chicago police arrested Carl Freeman, 34, on Thursday. The convicted felon is charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery, police said.
