Chicago Plane Fire Delays Joe Maddon's Mom From Making Trip To Wrigley Field

CHICAGO (CBS) -- The delays following an aircraft fire Friday at O'Hare may prevent Cubs manager Joe Maddon's mother from making the trip to Wrigley Field for Game 3 of the World Series.

The American Airlines plane caught fire on takeoff around 2:30 p.m., forcing the airport to close for a time.

Eight people suffered minor injuries.

Operations have resumed but there are delays for incoming flights.

First pitch between the Cubs and Indians is at 7:08 p.m. The hometown call can be heard on 670 The Score.
