Chicago Man Shot, Killed In Lansing

LANSING, Ill. (STMW) -- A Chicago man was shot and killed Sunday morning in south suburban Lansing.

About 11 a.m., Myron A. Parker, of the 11000 block of South Wentworth Avenue, was shot near the intersection of 170th Street and Torrence Avenue, according to a statement from the Lake County Indiana Coroner's office.

Parker was taken to Munster Community Hospital in Munster, Ind. where he was pronounced dead less than 20 minutes later, according to the coroner's office. His death was ruled a homicide.
