CHICAGO (CBS)-- Early morning showers wind down as clouds linger for the start of the day.

Skies clear up by afternoon giving way to sunshine and highs in the 70s.

A Beach Hazard Statement has been issued through Tuesday evening.

Sunny skies return Wednesday.

Highs reach the 90s by the weekend.
