Chicago Firefighters Save Five Cats In Northwest Side Blaze

(CBS) -- A barbecue started a fire at a Northwest Side residence Monday, and firefighters rescued five cats at the scene, authorities said.

The incident happened at  5328 W. Leland, says the Chicago Fire Department, which blames the fire at the two-story residence on a barbecue.

No injuries to humans were reported, but authorities say they rescued five cats, including one animal that had to be given oxygen.
