2-alarm house fire under investigation on Chicago's Far South Side

House fire investigation in Roseland

The cause of a 2-alarm house fire in Chicago's Roseland neighborhood is under investigation Wednesday morning. 

According to the Chicago Fire Department, the fire broke out at 46 W.108th Pl. and was escalated to a 2-alarm fire. 

Video from the scene showed heavy smoke billowing from the heavily damaged roof of the house. 

No injuries were reported. 

Fire officials confirmed the Chicago Building Department has been requested for an inspection. 

The investigation is ongoing.
