Chicago-Based Medical Technology Company Expanding, Adding Hundreds Of Jobs
Chicago (CBS) -- A medical industry technology company is expanding its operations here in Chicago, reports WBBM Political Editor Craig Dellimore.
Chicago-based ContextMedia brings patient education technology to doctors' waiting rooms and elsewhere across the county and CEO Rishi Shah says it's growing.
"We are going to add 200 more jobs in our Chicago office this year and I project that we will add 400 jobs here next year," said Shah.
Mayor Emanuel says of course he welcomes 600 new jobs but he says the expansion says something about Chicago's growth as well.
"Chicago is now and is presently one of the fastest growing tech cities in America and it's a great credit to entrepreneurs and workers just like yourself," said Emanuel.
The mayor urged the executives and employees at the tech company to reach out to young people to bring them into the field, too.
