Chicago Area Halloween Trick-Or-Treat Hours 2014

By John Dodge

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Whether families are looking for trick-or-treating hours in their neighborhood or want to take a road trip to a nearby town, there are plenty of options for Halloween.

Generally, suburban trick-or-treating hours last until 7 p.m.--with some towns extending them an hour or so later.

Start times vary, generally between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Basically, if your kids start on Friday afternoon by 5 p.m., they will have at least two hours to load up their pillowcases!

Chicago does not have set trick-or-treat hours on Halloween.

For a full list of hours, you can check your local town website or click here for a directory.
