Cheap Book Offers Good Advice, Shot At Famousness

By John Dodge

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Psst. Do you like to spend a lot of money needlessly?

No.

Do you like graphic novels?

Mostly.

Do you want to be famous and make your friends jealous?

Sure.

Then, here's a deal for you.

Writer and travel fiend Ryan Estrada is launching the latest "Poorcraft" graphic novel and is offering random strangers a spot in the newest book, "Poorcraft: Wish You Were Here."

Under the slogan "Being broke doesn't have to suck," Estrada and Chicago-based graphic artist Diana Nock are the masterminds behind the project.

The "Poorcraft" book follow the adventures of Penny, Nickel and Mil, all the while offering advice on how to be broke and travel well.

The first book offered more general advice on how to be thrifty and thrive.

With this edition, top Kickstarter backers will be illustrated into the book, which is otherwise done. A $250 contribution gets you a spot on an interior page, and $500 gets you on the cover.

However, you have to hurry, space is running out. If you don't hurry, you can still get a copy for $10.

Potentially, with all the money you could save using the book, your famousness just might come for free.
