Celebrating Groundhog Day in Woodstock, Illinois; Willie predicts early spring

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Willie predicted an early spring during the 2024 Groundhog Day celebration in northwest suburban Woodstock. 

This is the site from the iconic movie "Groundhog Day," with Bill Murray. 

Everyone is waiting anxiously to find out if Willie will see his shadow. 

"There's way too much serious stuff going on, it's something silly in the middle of winter," Rick Bellairs, chairman of Woodstock Groundhog Days, said.
