Here's how to donate to Salvation Army red kettles

CBS News Chicago is ringing the bell for the Salvation Army on Wednesday. 

You can donate to the iconic red kettles set up on Dearborn and Washington streets. 

The Salvation Army serves more than 200,000 people in need in the Chicago area. Money put in these kettles over the holiday season will help provide gifts to children, food, shelter, and disaster relief. 

Donations can also be made to the CBS Chicago virtual red kettle.
