CBS 2 RAW VIDEO: Jay Levine's Live Report Interrupted By Obama Protester

By John Dodge

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Viewers of the CBS 2 news on Wednesday briefly saw a protester interrupt a live report by Jay Levine, who was covering President Obama's fund-raising visit to Chicago.

Levine's pre-recorded piece at 5 p.m. aired right after the protester grabbed Levine's microphone and shouted "Obama is a war criminal!"

What viewers didn't see was CBS employee Dennis Williams pulling the protester away and wrestling him to the ground.

CBS Chicago has posted a slightly longer version of the incident, which you can view above.

On Wednesday Levine tweeted what was going through his mind during those few seconds.

Several mounted police officers converged on the scene to secure the area.

Levine was not hurt and acknowledged the incident at the conclusion of his report, saying he had gotten "a little reinforcement here from one of the protesters who decided to speak his mind on live TV. Obviously that's his right to do."
