Cardinal Cupich Enjoys Payoff Of World Series Bet

(CBS) -- A World Series wager between Cardinal Cupich and Cleveland's bishop allowed more than 130 people Tuesday to leave Catholic Charities feeling full, physically and spiritually.

The aroma of kielbasa, cheese pierogis, homemade bread and more filled the room at Catholic Charities. Sandra Dillon says the biggest treat was Cardinal Cupich in attendance; he dished out sauerkraut while wearing a Cubs jersey.

"It's just a thrill for him to take the time to come here and be with us," Dillon said.

Although the Cubs ultimately prevailed in the nail-biter of World Series against the Indians, Cupich sent food to Cleveland for homeless there.
