High carbon monoxide sends Fire Department to Ruiz Elementary School

Carbon monoxide scare at Pilsen elementary school

CHICAGO (CBS) -- There were scary moments Thursday at a Pilsen elementary school.

A Chicago Fire Department hazmat team was called to Irma C. Ruiz Elementary School, 2410 S. Leavitt St., after a high carbon monoxide reading.

The doors and windows were propped open at the school.

No injuries were reported.
