Car Hit, Wrecked By Amtrak Train In Peotone; Driver's Condition Unknown

PEOTONE, Ill. (CBS) -- A car was reduced to mangled wreckage after it was hit by an Amtrak train late Thursday in Will County.

Amtrak said someone was in the car when it got hit on the tracks in Peotone.

It was unclear Thursday night what condition the person in the car was in. No one on the train was hurt.

Amtrak service was back to normal late Thursday night after an earlier disruption.
