Car Crashes Into Starbucks In Matteson

MATTESON, Ill. (CBS) -- A car plowed into a Starbucks Coffee in south suburban Matteson Monday afternoon.

Police confirmed to CBS 2 that the car crashed into the Starbucks at 4800 W. 211th St. (also known as Lincoln Highway and Route 30).

Matteson police Chief Michael Jones said two people were injured. Both were Starbucks customers, Jones said. Their ages and genders were not known.

Jones said they were injured by broken glass.

The car ended up fully inside the Starbucks and hit the front counter, Jones said.

An employee at a mattress store nearby said she saw people running and said the car was inside the Starbucks.
