Car crashes, catches fire on southbound I-294 in Des Plaines
CHICAGO (CBS) – A fallen ladder may be to blame for a fiery crash Saturday morning in Des Plaines.
It happened just after 11 a.m. along the southbound Tri-State near River Road.
The driver and one other passenger escaped with minor injuries.
Four cars also collided on the other side of the median.
All lanes were closed for a few hours to clean up the crash.
