Buyers Of Electronic Devices With Flat Screen Panel From 1998-2006 Could Be Eligible For Settlement Money

(CBS) -- If you bought electronics with a flat screen panel you might have some money coming your way, reports WBBM's Terry Keshner.

The Illinois attorney general's office says Illinois residents who bought a product containing a flat panel screen between 1998 and 2006, might get a piece of a $104 million settlement.

The lawsuit claims several companies conspired to fix, raise, maintain or stabilize prices of flat panel screens resulting in customers getting overcharged.

The maximum amount someone can recover equals three times the actual amount they were overcharged, so that could be about $270 for a TV and $20 for a small screen device.
