The Chicago Loop Alliance held an impromptu park party at Pritzker Park at State and Van Buren. The group says the event is part of its place-making initiative.

"It's an initiative to make the Loop a higher-performing urban experience," said Mike Edwards, the executive director of the alliance. The Chicago Loop Alliance has similar events planned for the entire summer to make use of lesser-used spaces.
