In Burbank, A Child Is Fatally Shot

BURBANK (CBS) -- A child was fatally shot Friday afternoon in south suburban Burbank.

Police were called to a residence in the 8300 block of Laramie Avenue around 2:20 p.m. after reports of a shooting.

The child, age and gender not immediately known, was pronouced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Police are investigatoing, and there are no additional details surrounding the circumstances of the shooting.
