Bulls List Derrick Rose As Questionable For Wednesday's Game

(CBS) The Bulls have listed point guard Derrick Rose as questionable for Wednesday's road contest against the Magic, an upgrade for his status after he's been out for the past 20 games while rehabbing his right knee following a partial meniscectomy on Feb. 27.

This upgrade also comes one day after Rose's ex-girlfriend/mother of his son, Mieka Reese, made a cryptic post on Instagram that included a picture of Rose and the word "Wednesday," spurring speculation that Rose may return. The account has since been set to private.

At Monday's practice, Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau didn't commit to Rose returning at a certain date but emphasized he's making steady progress. The Bulls initially gave Rose a recovery timeframe of four to six weeks. Friday marks six weeks since the surgery. After its trip to Orlando, Chicago play at Miami on Thursday.

The Bulls have five regular-season games left. The playoffs start April 18.

"Ultimately, he's got to feel comfortable enough to play," Thibodeau said Monday. "That's the big thing, so I think he's getting closer. He hasn't had any setbacks, so those are all positive signs. He's doing everything in practice. His conditioning is a work in progress, but it's improving.

"He's taking it day by day."
