Bulls' Doug McDermott Tweets That He'll Wear Jersey No. 11

(CBS) The addition of a future Hall of Famer to the Bulls led to forward Doug McDermott giving up jersey No. 3.

He's now settled on a new number.

McDermott revealed Friday on Twitter that he'll change to No. 11. The switch comes after McDermott told the newly signed Dwyane Wade that Wade could have No. 3, which McDermott wore in his first two years in Chicago. Wade had worn No. 3 throughout his storied career with the Heat.

McDermott told reporters in Las Vegas earlier this week that Wade is in the process of repaying him in some form as a way of saying thank you.
