Bronzeville Couple's Car Fused To Ice Block

(CBS) -- Chicago's brutal winter has been especially rough for one Bronzeville couple.

For more than a month, their car has been stuck in a block of ice that goes all the way up to the floorboards.

CBS 2's Chris Martinez talked to owners, who say nothing has been done -- after multiple complaints to the city.

"We've never heard back from anybody. My wife has called the Water Department; they've given her Streets and Sanitation," Andy Ralston says. "They told her to call 3-1-1. 3-1-1 said, try to use salt."

Ralston said he realizes city crews have been kept especially busy this winter. But he says he doesn't get the impression the city is any closer to helping him and his wife.
