17-Year-Old Boy Shot, Killed In Gresham Neighborhood
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed in Gresham Friday morning, according to police.
The victim was walking on the 7800 block of South Wood Street shortly after 8:30 a.m. Friday, when a blue minivan approached, and a gunman got out of the vehicle and opened fire, authorities said.
The shooter got back into the minivan and fled west down the alley.
The victim suffered several gunshot wounds to the body and was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
No one in in custody at this time. Area Two detectives are investigating.
