Boy Scout Troop Treasurer Accused Of Swiping $17,000

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A Boy Scout is trustworthy.

This is the first of the Boy Scout Laws, and police in Plainfield say a troop's for treasurer was anything but trustworthy when it came to the group's bank account.

Annette Eichorst, 50, of Plainfield, if facing multiple theft charges surrounding missing funds from Troop 19's bank account.

Police said in a news release, that just over $17,000 was bilked from the account while Eichorst was treasurer from November 2010 through October 2013.

Police said Eichorst she used the money to pay down her personal credit card bills.

Eichorst posted bond and was released pending her court date.
