Boy Hospitalized After Parrot Bite

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A child is in good condition after he was bitten by a parrot Saturday afternoon in the Lower West Side neighborhood.

The 6-year-old boy was taken to an area hospital after his grandmother's pet parrot bit him about 12:50 p.m. in the 1700 block of West 19th Street, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.

The boy was in good condition Saturday afternoon, Zala said.
