Boy, 17, Shot In Logan Square

(STMW) -- A teenage boy was shot while riding in a vehicle early Sunday in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 17-year-old was a passenger in a dark-colored Honda Accord in the 2500 block of West Cortland at 3:35 a.m. when two people started yelling gang slogans and fired shots, police said.

The teen was shot in the left leg and taken to Saint Mary's, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

He is a self-admitted gang member, according to a police source.
