Boy, 17, Killed In Ashburn Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed Monday evening in the Ashburn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Kayshaun Hall was walking in an alley shortly after 5 p.m. in the 8400 block of South Kedzie Avenue when a light-colored sedan pulled up and someone inside shot him in the chest, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The car then drove west on 84th Street, police said.

Hall, of the 2800 block of West 71st Street, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:10 p.m., authorities said.

No one was in custody Tuesday as Area Central detectives investigate.
