Boy, 13, Fatally Shot While Riding In Vehicle

(CBS) – A 13-year-old boy was fatally shot Monday evening on Chicago's South Side.

The teen was shot around 6:30 p.m. while riding in the back seat of a vehicle traveling in the 4500 block of South Ashland.

The driver of the vehicle continued to a nearby firehouse, and the shooting victim was transported to Stroger and later pronounced dead, Chicago police say.

No one was in custody, police said.
