Boy, 12, Seriously Wounded In South Chicago Shooting

(STMW) -- A 12-year-old boy was shot Saturday evening in the South Chicago neighborhood.

About 5 p.m., the boy was standing outside in the 8700 block of South Saginaw when he heard gunfire and realized he'd been shot in the leg, police said.

He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where he was listed in serious-but-stable condition, police said.
