Bowles Interview Moved Up To Thursday

(CBS) Originally, Arizona Cardinals defensive coordinator Todd Bowles was scheduled to interview for the Bears' head coaching vacancy this Saturday, but he will now interview this Thursday, per a report from ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Bowles is a highly sought-after candidate. Every team with a head coaching vacancy requested an interview with the man who has coordinated Arizona's stingy defense over the past two seasons.

This season, Arizona finished fifth in points allowed (18.7) this season and were the first team to hold Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray under 100 yards. Last season, Arizona finished as the league's best against the run (84 yards per game), and sixth in sacks (47) and points allowed (20.3).

The Bears have already interviewed Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase for their coaching spot.

On Wednesday, the Bears confirmed interviews with Kansas City Chiefs director of pro personnel Chris Ballard and New Orleans Saints director of pro personnel Ryan Pace for their open general manager role, per their official Twitter account.
